About Us

Why we started, and who we are!

Our Purpose

Venice Community Cleanups is committed to creating

an environment of spontaneous civic engagement that serves the public good. We advocate for independent trash cleanups through proactive community involvement.

In an encouraging, social and collaborative environment,

we show how small consistent efforts result in a healthier and safer community. We remind people of their potential

to consciously contribute to themselves, their communities, and our planet.

Venice Community Cleanups currently leads cleanup efforts

on the 1st Sunday and 3rd Saturdays of every month,

and we list cleanups local to Venice Beach as hosted

by organizations with similar missions such as

the Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay, Cleanup the Beach CA, Zero Debris, the Venice Chamber of Commerce in Action, and more.

Rayna Orr is dedicated to improving her community, which led her to volunteer with Venice Community Cleanups in 2023. Her commitment has grown, and she now serves as the organization's secretary, enabling her to contribute to a cleaner environment, one bag of litter at a time.

Justin Dray

Community Outreach Marketing Manager, Founder of Buckets on Venice

Justin journeyed from the East Coast to the West, only to discover that the entertainment industry mirrored the litter-strewn streets of Los Angeles. As VCC's Marketing Manager, he passionately advocates for education, accessibility, and outreach to eliminate litterbugs both on-screen and in real life.
