Initiatives

Mission

Venice Community Cleanups is committed to creating

an environment of spontaneous civic engagement that serves the public good.

We advocate for independent trash cleanups through proactive community involvement inn an encouraging, social, and collaborative environment to show how small consistent efforts result in a healthier and safer community.

Values

Sustainable

In hosting regular trash cleanups, we aim to create a more sustainable Venice. Through our actions, we strive to remind people to clean up after themselves and to seek recyclable, reusable, or compostable alternatives.

Aspirational

We strive to inspire the community to take action on their own - it is our hope that our volunteers become leaders of their own cleanups and that every single day there are multiple self generated options to help keep Venice clean.

Community

Venice is and always has been a unique beach side community. We celebrate the people who come out to support, the unique spaces in Venice, and the culture that makes our community stand out.
